I’m a user experience designer, design lead, and manager. I’ve worked on all kinds of products at all kinds of companies throughout my 15+ years of experience. I live in Zurich, Switzerland.

User experience professionals tend to append a letter (R? W? D? E?) or a role (Manager? Lead? Strategist?) after the “UX” to qualify the part of UX that we do.

More often than not, in practice, I find that the lines between these designations blur. If I had to choose a lane, it’d be Designer (UXD) - that’s my background. But I think that limiting oneself to a single, qualifying letter doesn’t do justice to the multidisciplinary nature of the field, or to the stubbornness of the problems that we are uniquely qualified to solve. So I’d prefer to leave that space open (UX_) to what the challenge calls for.

Here are some things that are important to me.

Building Products

I help teams build great products that solve real problems by advocating for a user-centered approach, asking the right questions, and creating the conditions for the right solutions to emerge - through my own, or my teams’ designs.

Supporting People

As a mentor, a manager, a team lead, or a colleague, I strive to support the people around me in navigating the complexities of their work (and sometimes, their life outside of work), in order to help them grow and be their best.

Creating Impact

I recognize that the educational and employment opportunities I’ve been afforded carry with them a great responsibility. It’s important for me to use these skills to improve people’s lives in material ways.

I’m currently with a small social-impact-oriented company called SkillLab. Have a look at my previous work, or learn more about me.
